The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), in collaboration with the National Technology Development Program (NTDP), continues to accept applications for the TamkeenProgram, which aims to support micro, small, and medium-sized technology companies in retaining Saudi talent and strengthening workforce stability to support business growth and long-term sustainability.

The program provides financial incentives to support the retention of Saudi professionals in a range of critical technology roles, helping companies retain national talent and foster stable, motivating work environments that contribute to the growth of the technology sector.

Tamkeen adopts an incentive-based support model spanning 18 months across three phases, with total support of up to SAR 86,000 per eligible employee. The program covers a range of technology specializations, including software development, network engineering, data science, and cybersecurity.

MCIT invited eligible companies to apply and benefit from the program through the National Technology Development Program (NTDP) online platform, contributing to the sustainability of national talent, enhancing the competitiveness of technology companies, and supporting the continued growth of the digital economy in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

Minister of Communications and Information Technology and Chairman of the Board of the Saudi Space Agency Abdullah Alswaha, accompanied by Governor of the Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) Eng. Haytham AlOhali, held a series of meetings with senior government officials and technology leaders in Beijing to strengthen Saudi–China partnerships and expand cooperation in artificial intelligence, the digital economy, advanced technologies, and space, in support of the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
Alswaha met with Minister of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China Li Lecheng to discuss expanding cooperation in AI, the digital economy, and emerging technologies, localizing advanced technologies, and advancing joint initiatives in telecommunications, advanced manufacturing, and innovation.
In the space sector, Alswaha met with Chairman of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) Zhou Jie to strengthen cooperation in localizing space technologies, developing national capabilities in satellite manufacturing, and advancing knowledge transfer, supporting the growth of the Kingdom’s space sector.
The minister also met with Founder and Chairman of Meituan Wang Xing to discuss cooperation in leveraging AI across digital services, developing smart logistics solutions and smart city applications, and supporting innovation and the adoption of emerging technologies in the Kingdom.
These meetings are part of the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its international partnerships in technology and space, expand cooperation in advanced technologies, develop national capabilities, and enhance the competitiveness of Saudi Arabia’s digital economy.

Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Alswaha, accompanied by Governor of the Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) Eng. Haytham AlOhali and Saudi Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China Abdulrahman Al-Harbi, held a series of meetings in the People’s Republic of China with senior government officials and technology executives to discuss opportunities for partnership in artificial intelligence, the digital economy, technology transfer, space, and emerging technologies, further strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries.
Alswaha met with Minister of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China Yin Hejun, and the two sides discussed enhancing cooperation in artificial intelligence, the digital economy, technology transfer, and talent exchange programs, as well as expanding the presence of leading Chinese technology companies in the Kingdom.
In the space sector, Alswaha met with Administrator of the China National Space Administration (CNSA) and Vice Minister of Industry and Information Technology Dr. Shan Zhongde to discuss opportunities for cooperation in space technologies, expanding partnerships in innovation, and developing capabilities related to the sector.
The minister of communications also met with the executive leadership of Moonshot AI, the developer of the Kimi large language model (LLM), to discuss the development of large language models and AI-powered generative technologies, as well as technology transfer and commercialization, supporting the growth of the Kingdom’s digital economy and emerging technologies.
In addition, Alswaha met with Chairman of ByteDance China Zhang Lidong to discuss cooperation in generative artificial intelligence, data centers, algorithm development, and large language models, as well as expanding the company’s presence in the Kingdom, contributing to the growth of the technology innovation ecosystem and enhancing the competitiveness of the digital economy.
These meetings build on the Kingdom’s efforts to forge high-impact international partnerships, attract advanced technologies and investments, develop national capabilities, and strengthen Saudi Arabia’s global presence in technology, artificial intelligence, and space.
