Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology meets with leaders of Singapore International Chamber of Commerce, discusses scopes to promote growth of digital economy and innovation
Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Abdullah bin Amer Al-Swaha, met today with the leaders of the International Chamber of Commerce in Singapore, on the sidelines of his visit to Singapore aimed at highlighting investment opportunities in the digital economy and innovation, and highlighting Vision 2030, and its role in accelerating the transformation toward a vibrant digital society, a thriving digital economy and a pioneering and ambitious digital government.
The meeting was attended by the Governor of the Digital Government Authority, Eng. Ahmed Al-Suwayan, and several company executives and the business community from Saudi technical and Singaporean government companies to discuss the latest global experiences in digital government, and discuss ways of cooperation between the two sides.
The meeting also discussed the leading Saudi experience in the field of digital transformation and digital investment, as well as the Kingdom's adoption of the latest technologies to enhance its access to advanced positions in this field. It also opens broad prospects for government technical companies to cooperate with Singaporean companies in digital services, and create new opportunities to adopt technologies to accelerate the process of digital transformation.
The two sides also touched on increasing aspects of cooperation and means to support Saudi technical companies to explore investment opportunities and establish partnerships with Singaporean counterparts, and learn about the strategy for developing foreign investment in Singapore, in addition to attracting research institutions and innovation centers to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and attracting foreign direct investment by building partnerships with capital technical investment companies.
