The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology held a workshop chaired by H.E. Eng. Haytham AlOhali, Vice Minister of Communications and Information Technology, with the participation of leading developers, investors, and industry executives, in addition to representatives from Humain. The workshop focused on discussing the Kingdom’s objectives and future plans for building and developing AI data centers, as well as strengthening public–private partnerships to enable the digital economy ecosystem.

The session addressed national strategies aimed at enhancing digital infrastructure and expanding advanced computing capabilities. His Excellency affirmed that the Kingdom is moving confidently toward solidifying its position as a global hub for artificial intelligence, driven by collaborative efforts and integrated roles across the entire digital ecosystem.

The workshop reviewed key opportunities and enablers for local and international companies to invest in building and operating AI data centers, including incentives and supportive regulatory frameworks. Participants also discussed ways to improve the efficiency of national plan implementation and accelerate the growth of the digital economy.

Attendees explored a range of innovative technological solutions and the upcoming infrastructure requirements needed to support the rapid expansion of intelligent technologies and their adoption across various economic sectors.

The workshop concluded by emphasizing the importance of continuing such interactive platforms with the private sector to maximize the impact of partnerships, enable high-value investments in the data and AI economy, and contribute to realizing the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 while strengthening the Kingdom’s position as a global hub for technology and artificial intelligence.
