Saudi Arabia takes part in G20 Digital Economy Meetings in India


H.E. Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Abdullah Alswaha, heads the Saudi ICT delegation representing the digital economy, innovation and space ecosystem in the Kingdom that participates in the G20 ministerial taskforce group meeting on digital economy. The visit to the Republic of India covers meetings with countries and private sector companies. The aim is to expand partnership and enhance cooperation to support the growth of the digital economy and promote the KSA's innovation.

India's G20 presidency priorities in the digital economy working group focus on three main areas, including public digital infrastructure, digital economy security and skills development.
Today, KSA is an active member of the G20 by participating in the formation of digital policies and leading initiatives to advance global efforts to bridge the global digital gap. Additionally, KSA holds advanced positions compared to the G20 countries, where it ranks second among the group countries in the frequency spectrum and in the digital infrastructure readiness within the ITU rankings, and in the index of the fastest digital economies in the Digital Riser report of the European Center for digital competitiveness
