MCIT Launches First-of-its-kind “Envision Risk” Conference in Saudi Arabia in November

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) in Saudi Arabia announced the launch of a specialized conference for top-tier risk management, business continuity, and crisis management professionals who are leading the communications and information technology sector. The conference "Envision Risks" will be organized and hosted in Riyadh on the 1st and 2nd of November.
The agenda of the conference aims to raise the maturity in risks management, business continuity and crisis management in the ICT sector. It also aims to enrich an interactive and elitist dialogue on how to benefit from the expertise of leading countries and major companies in the areas of risk management, business continuity, and crisis management through the participation of international, regional, and local experts’ speakers.
The conference program includes holding lectures rich in futuristic insights by more than 20 experts and organizing a qualitative set of interactive sessions, thought-provoking discussions and workshops seeking to create a knowledge-sharing culture on the latest, most innovative risk and crisis management methods in the field of business continuity in addition to learn more about how to use emerging technologies and future trends contributing to a thriving 2030 Saudi Vision.
The General Manager of Risk Management and Business Continuity Center at the ministry, Eng. Ahmed Al Sha’ba said: This conference is the first knowledge gathering in the field of risk management, business continuity and crisis management in the telecommunications and information technology sector, and to share the ministry's efforts in empowering the ICT sector.
The conference comes to promote a culture of risk management, business continuity, and crisis management, as well as raising the reliability of telecommunications and information technology resources, products, and services in addition to discovering how to use emerging technologies, primarily artificial intelligence to enrich risk-based forecasting and plan solutions in the telecommunications and digital economy, and attracting more investments by increasing the reliability, anticipating risks and crises, planning to manage and respond to them, and seizing opportunities from them.
Al Sha’ba stressed: The conference represents an important opportunity for the ICT sector to benefit from the global accumulated expertise and solutions in the areas of risk and crisis management and business continuity in the ICT sector ensuring greater growth, increasing reliability of the digital economy, attracting further investment , and consolidating the Kingdom's image as a hub in the region for investing in telecommunications and information technology and related solutions and innovations focusing on the enormous capabilities provided by AI.
