Al-Swaha Discusses Means to Expand Digital Economy, Develop Digital Government with UN, IsDB Officials

Minister of Communications and Information Technology Eng. Abdullah bin Amer Al-Swaha met today with the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs, Li Junhua, on the sidelines of the Digital Government Forum 2023.

The minister discussed means to boost the strategic partnership for the growth of the digital economy and artificial intelligence and went over the best practices in the digital government field that align with the modern challenges to build a sustainable digital future.

Also, Al-Swaha met with the Chairman of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), Dr. Mohammad Al-Jasser, over means to enhance partnerships in the fields of the digital economy, stimulating technological investments and developing the digital government in light of steps that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is implementing to support the digital transformation.

The meetings came on the sidelines of the second Digital Government Forum, organized by the Digital Government Authority, with the participation of a number of government agencies, experts, specialists, and decision-makers in the field of digital government at the local and international levels.
