Stages of “Saudi CPC” Launched

The stages of the Saudi Collegiate Programming Contest "Saudi CPC" for university students have started, it is the national version of the "International Collegiate Programming Contest". The contest is held by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in partnership with the Saudi universities; to develop the technical skills of the male and female Saudi youth and enable them to participate and qualify in both national and international contests. "Saudi CPC" is the largest multi-level international program contest, which is held for the first time in Saudi Arabia, as it works on highlighting the intellectual talents of youth participants through a competitive atmosphere it creates, improves their innovative and intellectual skills in programming and teamwork, and enhances their creativity to solve problems using logics, planning, and analysis.   
The launch of the competition comes through the Future Skills Initiative in partnership with Human Capacity Development Program, the National Program for Information Technology Development, the Saudi Digital Academy, and the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones, and Tuwaiq Academy, in addition to more than 32 universities in 13 regions. Tomorrow, 51 teams, consisting of 153 male and female students, will compete after having tests and qualifiers that get them to the final national competition. The winners will qualify to participate in the regional competition that includes Arab and African countries, leading to the global qualifiers. The total prizes for the national competition amount to 530,000 riyals, divided into three levels: gold, bronze, and silver. All the winners of each level are awarded a level medal and a financial prize.
