Alswaha Holds Meetings with Leaders of Major Technology Companies
Minister of Communications and Information Technology Eng. Abdullah bin Amer Alswaha held a series of meetings with leaders of major technology companies as part of his participation in the Kingdom's delegation at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland.
The participation aims to enhance partnerships in technology, artificial intelligence (AI), and innovation to support the growth of the digital economy in the Kingdom.
Alswaha met with Indian Minister for Railways, Information and Broadcasting, Electronics & Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw to discuss ways to support the digital economy, innovation, and manufacturing and review joint initiatives within the Saudi-Indian Partnership Council.
Alswaha met with Microsoft chief executive and chairman of the board of directors Satya Nadella to discuss the strategic partnership and enhance technical investments in high-capacity cloud computing and AI to support the growth of the digital economy in the Kingdom and the Middle East through the Kingdom's strategic location.
In the context of attracting global investments in the technology sectors, Minister Alswaha and BlackRock chairman and chief executive Larry Fink discussed opportunities to enhance investment partnerships in innovation and AI projects.
Alswaha met with Lenovo chairman and chief executive Yuanqing Yang to discuss prospects for partnership in manufacturing and technology projects in the Kingdom and the current progress of the company's plans and investments in the Kingdom.
To enhance partnerships in modern technologies, Alswaha met with Qualcomm president and chief executive Cristiano Amon to discuss expanding partnership opportunities in developing Al and smart-network technologies to enhance the growth of the digital economy and sustainability.
In another meeting, Alswaha met Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) president and chief executive Antonio Neri to discuss prospects for strategic partnership in the fields of technology and cloud computing and the company's efforts to localize servers in the Kingdom to enhance local content and support the growth of the digital economy in the Kingdom.
