Communications Minister Discusses Supporting Digital Economy Growth and Enhancing Innovation with International Partners in Davos

The Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Abdullah Alswaha, held a series of high-level meetings during Saudi Arabia's participation in the World Economic Forum in Davos. The meetings aimed to strengthen digital partnerships, support innovation, and boost the growth of the digital economy.
The meetings included discussions with Poland's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Affairs, Krzysztof Gawkowski, on exploring shared visions on the digital economy and sustainability through innovation and digital capacity building.
He also met with Rwanda's Minister of Information, Communication Technology, and Innovation, Paula Ingabire, to discuss partnerships in innovation, technology, and artificial intelligence initiatives and capacity building under the umbrella of the Digital Cooperation Organization.
Moreover, the minister held separate meetings with the Minister of Digital of Malaysia, Gobind Singh Deo; the Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies of South Africa, Solly Malatsi; and the Minister of Economy, Digitalization, Entrepreneurship, and Tourism of Romania, Bogdan-Gruia Ivan. The meetings aimed to expand partnerships with the Kingdom in innovation, digital capacity development, and fostering innovation, contributing to the creation of integrated and sustainable digital ecosystems.
He also held a meeting with the Secretary-General of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), Mathias Cormann, to expand and support sustainable development through innovation and artificial intelligence, aiming to build a resilient digital economy that fosters sustainability and growth through innovation.
